Fig.1:M R M

  • Check valves move upward when the main flow increases and downward when the flow decreases.
  • The movement of the check valve is transmitted directly to the bypass system by means of a lever.
  • As the main flow increases, the check valve lifts from its seat and moves upward.
  • The system allows full flow through only when the bypass is completely closed.
  • The valve is factory set to achieve the specified minimum flow rate when the check valve is closed in place ( zero main flow rate).

Fig.2:M R K

  • The M R K valve system consists of a check valve and special control and throttling devices designed for minimum flow recirculation systems (bypass systems).
  • The general function of the valve is related to the process flow (flow sensitivity).
  • This bypass system itself consists of a main regulating device (multi-stage), which is controlled by a main check valve, in addition to an additional special multi-stage pressure regulator. Thus, the function of the entire bypass system is divided into two parts. These two sections ( i.e. the main section and the secondary section) must work in tandem to fulfill the required pressure drop function as specified in our data sheet. The secondary section is controlled via an external pressure line connected to it on the bypass section.
  • The valve protects high pressure centrifugal pumps from overheating and cavitation problems by automatically maintaining a minimum flow when the system flow is at a low load. At lower process flows, the check valve activates the bypass regulating component through a system of levers, thus ensuring that the pump is protected at the correct minimum flow. When the process/system flow begins to increase, the main check valve picks up the seat and begins to regulate the bypass recirculation flow, which is returned to the system tank When the check valve detects sufficient system flow, the bypass circuit automatically closes. If the system flow rate decreases again, then the bypass loop will also begin to automatically recirculate.
